Humidifier Types
So many different types of humidifiers are available these days. Here is a quick description of each different type.
A type of stationary unit that is usually kept in the same area of the home and generally sits on the floor is called a Console humidifier.
For a humidifier that delivers easy maintenance and convenience, the Portable humidifiers are just that. Portable humidifiers are smaller than console humidifiers so they can be moved from room to room easily. The tank and filter are easy to maintain as well as the cleaning is made easy.
An Ultrasonic humidifier uses a high-speed rotating disk to create a cool mist. The Ultrasonic technology uses an ultrasonic underwater speaker cone that is able to vibrate the water at high frequencies.
Evaporative are one of the most popular types of humidifiers. Hunter’s evaporative humidifiers add moisture into the air by using a fan that blows air through a moistened absorbent humidifier filter.
A steam vaporizer is a warm mist humidifier. The water is heated with a heating element that creates the steam and allows the steam to cool before it is released into the air.
Central humidifiers are built into a home’s heating and/or air conditioning system. It is used to control and increase the humidity in the entire home.
With Hunter’s use of permanent built-in anti-microbial properties, the growth of fungi, molds and bacteria is prevented. This means that there will be less pollutants being forced into your air which can be harmful and unpleasant. The evaporative and steam vaporizer humidifiers that hold large amounts of water in the water tanks are the units that are treated for potential microorganism growth. In Impeller models and Ultrasonic units, they can disperse more minerals and microorganisms into a room than the Hunter humidifiers.
